A member of the United Nations Global Compact (the world's largest corporate sustainability initiative), and as a WEPs signatory, Gökçelik has renewed its mission and vision by focusing on sustainability and efficiency across its working methods. Producing from sustainable sources, the company provides traceability of sources; while within its I-REC International Green Energy Certificatcation, it attributes the energy its uses, and draws on renewable energy sources.
Within ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management, ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management, and Lean Manufacturing etc., Gökçelik has implemented management systems such as Industry 4.0, the Internet of Things, S/4 HANA ERP, IoT, OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance). The MES (Manufacturing Execution System) has also moved the company on to a more efficient system, by providing systems integration. Moreover, Gokcelik cares about employees' opinions: the company adopts process improvements made by personnel, and carries out business process improvements by taking employees’ suggestions through the MES Suggestion System.
By focusing on digitalization in its human resources and communication activities, the company has taken steps to increase internal efficiencies; and in business processes, to reduce staff turnover.
